The monthly payment shown is the principal and interest (P&I) due each month on your loan only. Not calculated in the monthly payment are your monthly property taxes, homeowner's insurance, and mortgage insurance (if applicable) payments, known as your escrow account.
If you prefer not to have an escrow account, there is a one-time escrow waiver fee paid at closing. All loans with less than a 20% down payment are not eligible for an escrow waiver.
